On 27.04.12, When We Build Again held its inaugural Assembly in Hanbury Hall, London. The theme was Destruction; the evening proceeded with a busy programme of art, performances, films, music, and discussions. Over the next few weeks we will be publishing a series of spin-off posts featuring the work of the Assembly’s participants.
We begin with an image by Lina Hakim titled Martyrs-Top, from a series of Beirut spinning tops. On the evening of the Assembly, the image was attached to a partition wall by means of tape exclaiming its status as FRAGILE.
